For more than twelve years, The Birdsongs have defined walking by faith. After giving away their belongings and selling their home in the great state of Washington, the Birdsong family bought an RV and began their journey planting seeds through a faith-based music ministry. With no plan and little money the family of eight (at the time) prayed together and agreed "this is something God has laid on our hearts" as they drove slowly onto the highway. "God always comes through in a big, big, big, way" proclaims Wendell Birdsong, the father and guitarist of the remarkably multi-talented family.

      Jesus saved Zeb at the age of 17, just weeks before starting his senior year of high school. After signing a college baseball scholarship and playing for 2 years he began to sense a greater call on his life. In 2003 he surrendered to God’s call on his life to preach. While ministry has its own challenges Zeb never regrets his decision to forgo his baseball scholarship to pursue God’s call. Zeb’s greatest passion is to see all people connect with Christ in an authentic way. 

  Zeb is the Pastor of Old Providence Baptist Church in Lake Butler, Florida. He graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in May 2006 with a B.A. Theology. He Graduated from Liberty University in May of 2009 with a M.A. Religion. He is married to Dayna and they have a new son, Zane Kyler Cook.

The LaGrange, Georgia-groomed quintet (named after the Edmund character in C.S. Lewis' bestselling book series The Chronicles of Narnia) has been electrifying that regional scene and beyond since 2001, touring tirelessly and refining a potent alternative sound that merges the timeless sensibilities of Pink Floyd and the Beatles with the organic influences of Wilco, the dynamic swells of Keane, plus the band's own razor-sharp rhythms and introspective lyrics.

"We grew up listening to all kinds of music—classical and classic rock to jazz and experimental stuff. We're kind of a melting pot, a unique fingerprint for Christian music, combining so many of our individual musical influences into one sound," notes bassist Matt McFadden, while making it apparent members' Christian beliefs are a clear lyrical component. "Our musical backgrounds are so diverse, and it's interesting to see how we pull it all together; but more than just sounding strong, we hope and pray our varied backgrounds will open us up to a larger audience--one not subject to the same three chords over and over."
